Ege Topoyan, born in Istanbul to a family of artists, grew up admiring cinema. His debut short "A Letter from No Tomorrow "premiered at the 19th Akbank Short Film Festival and won several regional awards. He is currently a student at the Turkish Film & TV Institute, and Breakwater is his second short film. Ege aspires to create dreamlike textures in cinema, grounded in a strong sense of reality.
