biography

Jordi Sanz Angrill (Barcelona, 2000) is a film director, screenwriter and editor. His films explore memory and remembrance as mutable elements linked to spaces. He directed Sisters (2024) and The Fountain of Memory (2025), both short films premiered in the official selection of the 26th and 27th Shanghai International Film Festival. He combines filmmaking with teaching and cultural management: he has directed four editions of the u22 Film Festival at the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, was part of the official jury at the 31st L’Alternativa Film Festival, and in 2025 joins the D’A Film Festival as a programmer. He is currently in pre-production of Sismes (2026), the winning project of the FICBueu Residency, and also developing his first fiction feature film as a director.
